water in steam radiators

We have a one-pipe steam system and have been having trouble with water leaking out of the vents of our radiators. Why are they filling up with water?
We just had the whole house repiped and flushed all the radiators as our heating company said the boiler was full of mud (possibly from the old pipes?) He cleaned it, we replaced the pipes, but we are still having this problem. HELP!

    check to make

sure that the valves on the rads are wide open, and properly pitched towards the valve

    Water

If you replaced all the pipes, I'd be worried that the new risers might be too long, causing improper pitch in the radiators. Stick a small level on the radiator and make sure it's pitched towards the supply.

Also, as David mentions, make sure the supply valves (where the steam enters the radiator) are wide open. They should never be partially open, otherwise, the steam and condensate will have to fight over who gets to go through the opening.

what pressure are you running at

should come on at 1/2 psi and off at 2psi. If it runs higher you can get wet steam by pulling water up the lines and it also won't allow the condensate to return as well
