Some pics of our system

Just thought I'd throw a few pics up of the install we recently had done for us. I'm like a kid at Christmas right now with it. We moved into the house about 2 months ago. The first month, the existing system sucked up 375 gallons of oil, 300 in the second month. The house was all on one zone and the differences in room temperatures was ridiculous. We had as much as an 8 degree difference from our bedroom and living room. The hot water, if you could even call it hot, would go ice cold after a 5 minute shower. Now everything is balanced, the water stays super hot for what seems like forever. Through using this site, with direct questions, and reading a lot, I designed the system. I basically spec'd out what I wanted, how I wanted it done, and also helped some with the install. I'm just the consumer ultimately, but I couldn't be more happier with it.
It's a Crown Freeport CT-5, Crown Mega-Stor MS-53, 4 zones for heating, 1 for future use, and one for the indirect water heater. We did have the one problem I posted about with the thermostats, but that's now resloved. I won't know for a little while how much the effeciency has changed, but by how infrequent the boiler runs compared to the old, there should be a substantial difference in oil consumption. The most important thing is we don't have any cold spots throughout the house now and I can now take a really long hot shower :)
Most of what I picked up from this site was just from lurking. Combined with the direct questions that some of you answered, you guys have no idea how much input this site had with this. Thanks!

Lou..
Nice work, who installed it for you?
Robert O'Connor/NJ0 -
K. Reinford Plumbing out of Quakertown, PA. He's a young guy, but he really seems to know his stuff. He's done quite a bit of other stuff for me as well. I've been a general contractor for 20 years and have dealt with many different plumbers along the way. This kid ranks right up there with the best of them.0 -
