Radiator Heat-I'm a renter

I just recently moved to the east coast and took an upstairs apt., this apt. is about 8 to 9 hundred sq. ft.with Radiant heat. My last bill was way over the top sinse we were actually only in the building for half the month. After turning the thurmastat way back to 60 i still find that there are radiators pumping heat. I have delt with heating and air I do understand forced air. I do not however understand how unless there are two boilers how there can be two seperate gas bills for heating. Am I paying for the whole house???? My inlaws have a house about the same size and they are pay the same as us. What am I doing wrong?

There are many factor Chris and I encourage you to use the find a pro feature and get a hydronics professional.

If you can give us some more details about the heat, like is it oil or gas? Radiant floor heat, copper fin tube baseboard or cast iron radiators? etc

And I dont know were on the east coast you are but it does get cold in New England and the Mid Atlantic.

    sounds kinda fishy

you can only get two bills if there are two gas meters and why would you have two seperate gas meters? You also talk about radiant heat and radiators, Usually radiators are not considered radiant heat. Radiant heat is usually tubing in floors walls or ceilings, but yes there are some radiant panels etc. Like the prvious post, give us as much info as possiable and call the utility about those two gas bills and find out what the --- is going on
