Broomell Receiver

I have vapor vacuum steam system with a broomell receiver that is still connected but missing all the guts. When the steam comes up in the morning the receiver fills the basement with steam. The system has not been converted to a conventional steam job with air vents and I would like to keep it that way.
I am looking to replace the boiler and would like to know if I can eliminate the receiver and if so can I install a condensate pump to replace the receiver.
I would appreciate it if anyone has done this before could you get back to me as soon as possible.
Thanks, Robert
