    Couple of Jobs JPJR

Hey Chuck! Congrats! I have a couple of jobs coming up maybe you can come and spend a couple of days with us and do on the job training :) Hey that Boiler we talked about is still running fine the builder is telling me it's cheaper to heat the house with the radiant with no insulation than it is with the construction heaters running just during the day. I will be going back next week maybe we can hook up for lunch. Give me a call when you get a chance on my cell.

    well done Chuck

Thanks for calling the other day to let me know. It's an exciting thing to teach and a notable accomplishment to earn this certification. I'm pleased to call you my friend. Maybe next you can get certified in Woodchuck Abatement. I hear NCI might be giving a class. :P WW

    I went to one

of HTP's vision classes, that Chuck did. I couldnt belive the knowlege he has. Heating in general, and of course about the Munchkin. And he knows how to tell it to feild techs. No BS, just stuff we need on the job.

He has helped us learn about condensing boilers, now he will teach us the best raidiant technology.

He is starting to get to superstar status. We have to keep his ego in check. Any incriminating photos?

Sure, we all know how well you know your product, but can you put asses in the seats yet? You'll be taking lessons from Timmie for a long lot O' years before that happens.Go ahead Timmie say it.....Damn kids!

But seriously, Congratulations Chuck. I'm honored to have met and learned so much from you already.I guess I beat the rush? Chris

    Wow, Chirs

Little hard on me there, I will do the best I can. Isnt that all anyone can ask or expect. When in quesiton, I will alwasy defer and call the experts. I hate leaving a class, with a question that is un answered.

Other than that Chris, keep in touch.

    Take care,

    Chuck

    Chuck,

Just my SUBTLE way of teaching!

Hit em hard and fast with the FACTS, but be able to answer anything asked. Give them some doubt and let them ask the questions you already know the answers to. When they ask something you don't know,it's a WIN/WIN.All of you are learning and we both know that if you think you know it all, something will bite you in the hiney and keep you in check. Chris

    Chuck,

    That's why I'm here.

Hopefully, the quest for knowledge is un-ending. Like Dan says....The day we stop learning is the day they plant us in the ground. I like to think this is true, as I never want to stop getting something from the fine folks here on The Wall. Chris

    Anytime...

    my friend, ANYTIME...

The best advice I can give to anyone just starting, and even some seasoned veterans is to get Dans Book "How to teach technicians without putting them to sleep" available

    http://www.heatinghelp.com/shopcart/product.cfm?category=2-21

Other than that, keep your presentations lively, make them laugh with you and at you. Insert annecdotal information whenever appropriate. Nothing trumps field experience.

Lastly, bring your road show to Colorado. We'd love to see you.

    You've got my numbers.

RPA RAISES THE BAR FOR TEACHERS!

Chuck, your appointment to the RPA ranks will let you get the 'word' out to all of those who share our interest and desire to learn from one of the best! The support you provide to me at HTP is greatly appreciated. Congratulations and keep up the great work you do for all of us (on the front lines!).
