One suggestion, in the last pic you mounted the plate HX in the ONLY position that is not acceptable To easy to trap air in that position.

HX Mounting
HR Thanks it means allot coming from you and Dan.
The instructions for Flateplate say you can install in the Vertical or Horizontal position. Are there others out there that can't be? Haven't had any problems with air and have quiet a few out there.

For liquid to liquid
applications the HX should be mounted in a position that does not permit trapped air or gases within the exchanger.
My Triangle Tube BP Installation Guide states "Never mount the HX with the connections facing downward in any application"
And heat exchangers MUST be installed in a vertical position for steam applications.
