stop leak ,will work if it is small pin hole ,if pipes are detoriated ,Iwould replace piping ,Their is no such thing as a quick fix that wont come back to cause you problems later. Iam not sure what it will do on impellers on a hot water system.0 -
.
I have used many different brands of stop leak --its a crap-shoot some boilers have lasted for years others made it worse by cooling them off and putting stop-leak in some have held until the worst possible time then---well you know in between 50 service calls and other jobs going on we were installing a new boiler--T&M on overtime --if its piping more than likely its perforated if its a wet return, or if its at the threads the piping is so thin-----you need to replace it0 -
Do it right
And FIX the leak. Stop leak is a bandaid that you're trying to put on wet skin.0
