Tubing Comparison

Has anyone used the Mr. Pex oxygen barrier tubing with wirsbo barbed fittings and pex rings?

Around here, the Wirsbo tubing is really expensive, and I was looking at the Mr. Pex stuff and it is relatively cheap compared to Wirsbo tubing.

I have another bathroom coming up next week, and I want to try the Mr. Pex with the wirsbo fittings if someone else has tried it and succeeded first. I cannot risk a comeback in a completed floor, but I think the cost savings would make me more competitive and I would get more jobs. I do sell the comfort aspect, but some people just want cheap, and it would be a shame to re-do a bathroom (my partner is a plumber) without radiant.

Any help appreciated.

    Mr. Pex

Why not use the Mr.Pex fittings? I have been called on several times in the past few weeks by the new Zurn rep. He says his tube is almost half the cost of the Rehau that I use now. Even at half the cost the savings are small compared to the total cost of the job. A bathroom would only save $30 or $40. I doubt that this small amount will make a big differenve in your bid price. Stick with what you trust is my advise.
