I can't speak for WR, but...
IMHO, a stat for steam should be battery-powered, digital, setback optional, and set for 1 cycle per hour. The reason I say setback optional, is that steam systems, especially 1-pipe systems, don't operate most efficiently coming out of a deep setback. I also prefer battery power, because some steam systems shut down completely, leaving no power for the "power-stealing" type stats. If you want digital, non-programmable with a big, easy-to-read screen, try our FocusPro TH5110D1022. If you want a programmable, 7-day, 4 periods/day, TouchScreen VisionPro try the TH8110U1003. Both use ordinary AAA batteries, you can find anywhere. They are available from any Honeywell distributor, or your local heating pro.0
