things like soot, smoke, improper combustion, carbon dioxide, to name a few. To have fire you must have fuel, ignition and oxygen. Miss one or have too little of one or the others and you have incomplete or no fire.

Oil or Gas
Gas burner. 1,500,000 output.
Basement boiler room. IIRC the Peerless manual calls for about 4 sq.ft. each for intake (floor) and exhaust (near ceiling).
The boiler room's always had a 3sq.ft.(approx.) grill within a couple inches of the ceiling. Nothing down low.
The boiler room door isn't real drafty. Maybe I should ad a grill in the door? The rest of the basement is quite large.
