Replacing steam pipes with baseboards

How difficult is it to replace a home that uses radiators (steam heat) with baseboards. I know it depends on the number of radiators and size of the house but assuming the house is small (which mine is - only use two radiators to heat the whole house) and that the furnance is not that old, what would be the steps involved?
ie. Is there any covnersion that needs to take place on the furnance? Removal of the cast iron radiators and piping attached - installation of copper piping and new baseboards? etc.
Any information is greatly appreciated.

conversion to FHW
You most likely can convert your existing boiler to Forced Hot Water heating. It will involve proper heat loss and sizing of baseboard radiation, circulator and controls. You have to remove all the steam trim from the boiler and add hot water controls and aquastats, etc. This is a relatively easy job for a professional, and quite a challenge if you are not used to doing this work. It's not a simple DYI project. Get some professional help.

The piping leading to the steam pipes are getting old and are beginning to leak. That and the fact that I am looking to remodel by basement I would like to get rid of the old, low hanging steam pipes, and replace it with something a bit more modern.
My concern is the conversion process on the furnance - the removal of the old and installation of the new hot water piping and baseboards seems easy enough - I just have no idea of what is required on the actual furnance to make this work?0
