hanging a pump

We finishing up a job that has a 80lb taco inline pump speced. I've been wondering on methods for hanging it. I've been thinking about using two 8" clevis hangers, one in the front of the motor and one in the back. Or maybe a small clevis hangar where the cast bells out for the motor. This way the pump is being held instead of the pump being supported by the motor. Any ideas or advise?

Some medium-dense rubber between hard contact points is always nice to damp vibrations & harmonics. A few layers of good-quality rubber roofing both works and conforms.

    See Mupro

Mupro Pipe Hangers and special strut. All have vibration isolation.

www.muprousa.com They have an 800 number. Ask for Leo Pirito, he's an ex-German pipefitter (and great saleman)and knows every hanger made.

Read the directions, If I remember correctly, Taco does not want the motor to be supported. I think it can cause shaft misalignment and premature bearing failure. There is also a "this end up" arrow. Sometimes you have to rotate the bearing assembly to fit your application.[I've seen a few that were not]
