Your story reminds me of the gentleman who had multiple visits from the local gas utility because his bills dropped suspiciously. At least homeowner theft is not a worry for the oil company.

So congratulations, you just earned another set of valuable references and word-of-mouth advertisers. If the oil company has any brains, they'll recommend you to do high-quality swaps, as losing some business due to better efficiency is much better than losing a customer to gas.

Just ran into

a customer of mine at the local Diner for Breakfast, whose house we installed a Buderus oilfired 115 with Logomatic, on top of a Buderus horizontal indirect. She said the oil company sent someone out to check their system and tank to see why they were'nt using much oil. Seems their oil usage was down around 50% from their average, even with the especially cold temps we've been experiencing. This is great information to bring to my next sales meeting. Don't try to tell me now that the Logomatic control doesn't pay for itself. I remembered how they turned green when I told them the price of a new system and questioned the extra expense of the Logomatic control. I'm so glad they trusted me, and are so happy with the quality they are experiencing. Oooyaa, Duff man scores big time. (Go Iggles) :P WW
