convinced of the benefits of boiler controls before coming to this site. Then again , after finding this beacon in the night of a web site I realized how much there is to the wisdom of others in learning how to really make these systems work to there potential. Giving our customers the best and most economical heating systems available. I recently put a Tekmar 260 w/ outdoor reset on my atmospheric boiler .Praise the Lord it dropped my heating bill by 40 $$,Hail Tekmar. The power of education is a powerful thing. Thanks to all.

    A little side note

The design temp is 10*. This is a fin tube system,on a 28* day the fin tubes are seeing boiler target temps of 159* with 10* Deita T. Keeps the room temps at 70* just where we like them . Im surprized I was always one of those guys that believed fin tube needed 180* temps to properly covect. That aint so,this changes my whole approach to designing fin tbe jobs.

But Exquisiteheat is not one of the better options.

This board should not be used to advertise. These subtle advertisements are the sleaziest.

    Sweet and Bob

Sweet - Thank you for the comments. I am glad you like the web site.

Bob - With all due respect, why are you against "these subtle advertisements"? There are a number of manufacturers (Weil McLain, Burnham, Buderus, SlantFin, Wirsbo, TACO and on and on)that visit this site to educate and make people with problems aware of the available options. Sure, every single one of those companies would prefer if you would just call them rather than making everyone else aware of an issue you may have that may or may not even be product related. A forum as this is to be used very carefully by any manufacturer. There is a lot of time involved to monitor this site. None of which, is paid or finacially accounted for. So the only benefit one may attain, is to mention his or her products and why its use may make your life better or easier. Many of the people who come here from manufacturers come here to extend the reach of their current customer base and to help you gain the trust in the people who are in behind the products used. Myself, for example, i come here on a daily basis, including (most) weekends although there is no benefit for me within the company I work for by doing this. My reasons for coming here is because I just plain and simply LOVE this business, the art and the people that are into this. I look upon every one and single person that comes to this site to have the same love for this business. If I can share some of the benefits of the products that I represent and very much believe and trust in even with my eyes closed, then why not mention it. In the end, it is always up to you whether or not you agree with the benefits or added features and functions ones products may provide you with. So, please let me keep praising my products as the only face to be lost, is mine.

Every single post I make, is mainly done during my own personal time and does never (neccessarily) represent the views of the company I work for, but my own. I guess, by doing this, does it make me a sleazy sales guy? Or does it make me want to give it more than 100% to the company that has always treated me right and taken care fo me otherwise?

    Best Regards,

    Mike
