help save this old steam system

subject is a 100 year old twelve unit condo present heating system is a two pipe airvent system that was at one time a paul system. The system was badly maintained by the past condo association as is no maintaince. blocked returnes leaking pipes excessive water make up the works.Twenty year old W.M. boiler fails. Condo asc. panics and get a real pro who installs a new burnham boiler, this is where the fun begins, who cares how it is installed just drop it in we know what we are doing. very uneven heat no heat in many radiators leaking pipes every where. There solution you have to turn the presuretrol up higher you need more presure to reach the radiators, more leaks, well the boiler is too powerful for the pipes. Was the boiler skimmed, whats that? What about airvents, yes we put these nice home depot 30 dollar vents on the condensate return pipes. Well you get the picture, now there bright idea is to tear out the old system and put in a base board system, hot water, there into this thing for over 20 thousand. Well enough is enough armed with wonderful data from Dan's book and this site we blew them away and took control of the heating work. First is to get a professional in to eval the system and to undo the damage done by these so called pro's We have called one company north of Boston but the owner has not called us back, here it is someone will get a very interesting and big job out of this
