    more info

I see in the control addendum that parameter 11 changes the booster time. Should I disable it all together or just increase the time. My temp. setting is based on 32 degrees out door temp. Is there any way to change this to 0 degrees out door temp.
    thanks

    Boost

Disable it all together. Called tonight, but you were in bed.

    The only real settings that I changed were para. 4 (190 to 170, 5 (70 to 100), 6 (32 to 0), 7 (70 to 65), 10 (70 to 100), 11 (10 to 0) and 13 (I went from 52 to 27, which should be about 70).

I've seen improved performance and eff. since last winter when it was first installed. I have the outdoor reset set on such a tight curve, that I leave the temp set at 70 (24/7) and it has shown better eff and less gas useage.

6 is outside temp. at max. boiler temp.

or at what temp. do you what the boiler to hit max. temp.????
if your area gets ddown to 0 then set it at that temp. that is the lowest that you can go with that parameter.
The rest of the settings that Reynz posted should work, however depending on your requirements you may need to have different sttings for your house. You will have to play a bit to see hwat you need. Always remember or write down what you have changed from so that you can go back to square one if you get things too messed up.
Also, as was stated, if you disable the boost,(0), then you may not be able to setback much if any, I setback 2 degrees and on really cold mornings, it takes hours to recover. This does prevent the wife and kids from punching the t-stat to 80* and then forgetting about it. Well they still can do it but with no effect....:-)
Can't wait to get my hands on that nitrous switch that is supposedly in the works, then I can punch that if I get cold...:-)
    Any more ???'s

    Para 6

Para 6 is set for Design Day temp. From what I understand, Design Day temp is the lowest temp it will reach in whatever area you are in. I know that the coldest we have had is zero, which is why I chose zero. That is for South Jersey.

Once all the other settings are set, the quick way to adjust target temp is through Para setting on the control pannel for the target temp. As Floyd had suggested in the past, you keep lowering your target temp until your boiler (at the outdoor reset temp) can't keep up, then you raise it a little. I have chosen to leave my temp set at one temp all the time. If you use a two or three degree setback becuase you like to sleep cooler at night, your target temp will have to be a little higher so your house can warm up a little faster.

    What do you think about

making the booster time longer (if its possible) say 20 or 30 min.? That way if the system did ever get behind it would get some help. Also what does Para 5, 7 and 10 change and how does changing these help.
    thanks

    If you want the boost..

go to 30 min. the londest time possible...
5,7 and 10 all affect the minimum temp. the the boiler will try to hold... say if it is 65 outside and you have the min. reset 5 at 65 it will maintain what ever you have 7 and 10 set at....if you have 10 set higher than 7 then it will satay at the 10 setting.
    Can get kinda cornfusing...:-)

    ???

Okay para 10 is the lowest water temp the boiler will make. I have baseboard so I will change that to 100. Para 7 is the the outdoor temp at which I no longer need to heat the inside of the house. What does Para 5 do again?
    thanks

    Fan speed = btu

I ran some numbers and it seems that each 1000 of fan speed = 4,423.07692307 btu's so I dropped the fan speed down to 36,000 which should give me about 159,000 btu's I may drop it down more if this works out okay or if I replace some of the old windows this summer.
