Went on a job yesterday, newer install at the fire hall.
One-pipe steam. Operating limit 6#, High limit 12#, hi-lo fire 4.5#!!!! Boiler water logged, and no heat. One main air vent for two dry returns, installed right into the tee. City's wondering why such a new system costs as much to run as the old one. Hmmmmmm....
So I reset all of the operating controls, cooking along at 1.5#. People in the field that don't know what they are doing rule! They put money in my pocket!
