Coil heating capacity
I am working on a very old building with no drawings or nameplates on any of the equipment. I am trying to determine the approximate heating capacity of a steam coil in an air handler. I know the square foot face area of the coil, the airflow across the coil is probably 500 fpm, and the steam is at 12 psi. How can I calculate the heating capacity???
Any help would be apprecicated.

If You Know The...
...CFM being moved by the fan, then you can use:
CFM X 1.08 X delta-T in F all divided by 1000 to get lbs/hr steam required.0 -

Thanks Tony,
Is 40 degree air in and 90 degree air out a good assumption?0
