To our "KING of the Shoehorn install", Ron Jr.

So from all of those close quarter installs, I'm guessing that you feel around 60?

Happy Birthday BUD, Give me a shout. I'm hoping you got a message about me coming down in May....? Chris

    Happy Birthday, Ron.

My daughter, Kelly, shares your day. Hope it was a good one.
    Retired and loving it.
  • Thank you Chris

You guessed it , my body is shot . I always thought the scene of Nick Nolte showing his aches and pains while warming up in North Dallas Forty was funny . Now I'm living that scene .

I'm working on that trip too - I haven't asked to go to anything since Baltimore Wetstock , so I'm crossing my fingers .
  • I'm ready to retire

at the ripe old age of 36 . The work is cool , it's the lifting and tearing apart that'll kill you . Thanks Lchmb .
  • No work

5 work days a week are about the maximum I can do anymore . Those 2 weekend days are needed to recover . We ain't getting any younger . Thanks Dave .
  • It's a popular birthday

March is a popular month too . My mom and Ken's wife were born on the 4th . There were a few B-day singalongs at the restaurant we went to , and few B-day celebrations at the bar . Wish Kelly a Happy Birthday for me , thanks Dan .

Today is sunday ! and you mean to tell me me your home recuperating?!...i only know what day of the week it is about this time of year due to the slow work day :)))) sorry ...well..on an up note :) someone will soon make an even smaller boiler outta even heavier stuff so we can mount them off the ceiling :))) in the stairways :))) i am particularily mischief today....must be because my water pump started leaking on my way to work this morning just before i discovered that the p trap on the second floor bath tub wasnt connected ! oH Great! then stopping by to climb up in the rafters of the "spring start" (with snow still on the partition plates) and chop in a thru the roof vent ...cool ? its your birth day You should be having this much fun :)))ok well theres always tomorrow :) im trying to make you feel optomistic :)look at the bright side of the deal ...You can still remember when it IS your birthday :) Thats a definite +Plus+ :)

    Happy Birthday, Ron!

I hope they at least give you a day off from extracting giant, heavy beasts from within tiny basements w/o access holes.

May the year ahead be filled with:
    • Homeowners that appreciate your work and don't nag "are you done yet?" all the time
    • Basements where you spend less time clearing a path to the boiler than actually replacing it.
    • Stairs, access hatches, etc. that actually allow the equipment you're trying to install go in w/o 6 hail mary's, sweaty brows, and trembling hands.
    • No service calls in the night that are homeowner-caused, like lack of fuel, fiddling with the switches, or putting hot objects next to the thermostat and then complaining about the lack of heat.
    • Most importantly, that you continue to enjoy the work you do. After all, you're very good at it!
Have a safe and enjoyable year!

    Happy B'day, Ron!

May this year be filled with wide open spaces for you to work in! Take care of yourself, you only get one back, and two knees per lifetime! Don't wear them out too soon. Ask me how I know this...
