Low Mass Rad Floors and Solar Overheat

Member Posts: 2
Can anyone comment from experience as to whether the various low mass "on top of the subfloor" radiant systems (non-Gypcrete) deal effectively with high solar gain rooms? Do they tend to respond quiclky enough to avoid overheating? I know that using high mass floors with high solar gain potential is a difficult if not impossible situation to control. I would appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Any room
that see high passive solar gains will be a tough to control room, both in heating and cooling mode. Yes, the low mass or above floor products will help quicken the response, panel or baseboard may be better yet.
Ideally a method to control the solar gain would be best. Some sort of window shading device, automatic or manual would be helpful.
Lot of power in that solar energy.
