And greeted by
last-night's snow. Delays in landing, baggage, icy roads. Payback is tough, lads. ;-)Retired and loving it.0 -

That was our first choice,
but the fares through LA were a lot better. We spent a day touring the city. Nice place to visit.Retired and loving it.0 -
Welcome Back
to the REAL world Dan.
It's like the old saying: "Pay now or pay later".
Look at it this way: YOU may have one month of weather left, I have 3. And what about poor Weezbo.
Hope you and Ms Marriane had a restfull holiday though.0 -
I don't know.
That world seemed pretty real to me while we were there. ;-)
Not so bad, though. We're going to ISH in two weeks and then the whold family is going to visit Meghan in Costa Rica.
I'll kick this winter's butt yet!Retired and loving it.0 -

home again
Welcome home and congratulations on the holiday. We had 55 below zero in January and we loved it { thats why we all wear toques and drink Canadian beer}. I am joking we don't all own toques. However, I am always amazed to see people who have lived here for all their lives and still wear running shoes, no hat, no gloves, and complain about frost bite in the winter. Every year someone is stranded on the highway with no winter bag: space blanket, candles, water proof matchs, extra clothes , some sort of high calorie food and they do not tell people where they are headed and when they should arrive! In Canada ,the weather takes no one alive ,if you venture out and think it cannot happen to you for heavens sakes buy as much life insurance as you can afford and kiss your posterior goodbye!
Stay safe and carry a winter bag on the highways ;if you do not want to make one yourself, you can buy them from CAA or AAA. Good luck

Dan, you've got to...
...look at the positive side. You're back in the land of heating systems! Heck, how many cast iron radiators did you see in Hawaii? Welcome back!
Yours, Larry0 -
