Ummm...
When I was at HTP, the reps were busy taking calls, etc. Did you call during business hours? They are on the east coast and as such may close earlier than you expect. More importantly, are there any fault codes that come up?
One would think that the programming of the Vision 1 must have been messed up if all electrical connections and sensors are OK. You checked them, right?
I am not familiar with programming a Vision 1 controller or a Munchkin, but I wonder if disconnecting it would prompt the Munchkin into accepting a dry contact across the TT terminal. This in turn would indicate a problem with the Vision 1 programming, not the boiler. Have you taken a Vision 1 class and are you certified to set a Munchkin up?
I would also examine whether the pump for the Munchkin and the primary loop pumps are operational. You did pipe it according to the HTP diagrams, right? From what I have been told, Munchkins like their piping done the HTP way...
And now I'll let the real experts chime in. Cheers!0 -
It is most likely a
programming error.
Go into your vision contol, and make sure that the first step is "de". Not "di" or "do".
Hope this helps,

munchkin 199m with Vision 1 not heating
Yes I am proud to say that I am a Vision certified installer so far just 1 and 3 but in this case yes I am certified. I have piped it according to HTP's practices, so much so that it looks just like one of the picture that Dan had drawn for them. During power up/test mode it does cycle the boiler pump and system pump, it does not show any faults except when the TT's hit the boiler housing then I get a FOO which is quite common with a low voltage short or grounding. how ever I will give it a try and disconnect the vision package today and see what will happen. I have double checked and had another service tech double check my wiring. and I did call HTP during regular buisness hours 4AM to 8AM mountain time and after sitting in the holding pattern after fifteen minutes it would dump me into the voice mail where I would leave another message. I have left messages all over the place from 10Pm to 10AM and yet no response other than the customer wanting to get mad at me
