Heating Options

I do plan on putting in a M80 as backup heat and will take the L section of the house off the Geo and put it on the Munchkin. The garage loft is in this section so a higer temp output is avalable. The third floor, will remain on the geo.

    Heating Options

It is time. Having finished the major part on this new home, still some moldings to do, it is time to start upgrading the “additional space” areas.

    • I have Warmboard radiant on two floors in the main living areas, Radiant in slab in the basement and garage.
    • Heating plant is Geo with a max output of 125*, 40 gal buffer tank.
    • Additional areas are a 675SF loft over garage and 800SF third floor. Heat loss calcs show 8.8 BTUH and 5.63 BTUH per SF respectively.

I am looking for heating options using the Low temp of the geo. I was planning on using Thermalboard and radiant but with RTI going south that is no longer an option. It looks like baseboard requires too high a temp. So, what does the wall suggest? Quik-Trac, radiators, Rehau panel? Thanks for any input.

    baseboard

Rescom Baseboard will work with geothermal its a canadian product about 200 btu per liner ft at 120 F and looks like oversized baeboard on the will 7" heigh and 1 " thick solid aluminum panels and can have supply and return at the same end as it has a two pass built into it
