    Wirsbo battery expander

I was just wondering if anyone uses the new battery expander tool. I heard the latest version is very heavy. I have used the green one before but was told that they don't make it any more. I think the new one is black. Just looking to see if they are still worth the money. Thanks

    I'm interested

too. I'm still using the hand model. I was thinking of getting the battery model cuz my arms getting tired. Also didn't Wirsbo pick up a squeeze band connection system when they merged with RTI? Is this a simpler system than propex. Better or Worse?? WW

    Wirsbo

We have a couple of the older batter expanders. They work fine for 1/2"-3/4" a little slow with 1" but they do it.

Check on e-bay the last one we got there for alot less money.

  • We use the new ultra-heavy black and silver expander. It uses DeWalt batteries (12v only). We got a deal on it from the local supply house and it was still over a grand.

I want to get one of the green ones, as we mostly do 3/8, 1/2 and sometimes 3/4. Never one inch. I think they are much lighter. Got one from an Ebay seller, but it was broken upon arrival. Gotta be careful on Ebay.

I find most of the Wirsbo stuff to be outrageously expensive, but one must have all the cool tools...

Any more specific questions I may answer?

    Expander

Thanks for the info. I mostly do 1/2" or 3/4" so it looks like I will try to find a smaller green one.
