Treated lumber and gal. pipe
Dale
Member Posts: 1,317
Watching TOH last and Tommy was building a porch out of the new legal non arsenic treated lumber with high copper content, made a big point of saying it can't touch anything galvanized,(bad electrolisis) need stainless hanger, nails and the lag bolts through a plastic tube. I can imagine the stuff used to support galvanized pipe, or gal through a hole in it. Has anyone a good site I can go to to use as a reference for this? BTW Rich T showed a grundfos variable speed well pump that wasn't too pricy and followed demand to keep pressure constant.

Actually, he said it was only a couple hundred more than your standard submersible. Nice variable pump, though - I wonder if the manufacturer provides those cut-aways?0 -
You are correct about the latest treated lumber
Fastener companies are still struggling to find materials that work and are affordable to use with treated lumber. Right now certain grades of stainless seem to be the norm, for bolts, screws and hangers.
