hey all, went to troubleshoot a no heat call for a hw loop that was run off a 1 pipe steam boiler.. very odd connection if u ask me.. the start of the hw loop was connected to a tee on the wet return.. out of the tee to a ell into a 3/4 flow check feeding the loop.. the return loop comes in the boiler room, up and ties into a pump that is tiedin on a tee off the boiler drain. now the pump is pulling the water from the zone into the boiler.. now the only way for this loop to get water into it is to force feed it into the bleeder cock above the pump.. shouldnt this pump pull hot water from the boiler through the loop and then return tied into the wet return? BTW, not to much experience on a hw loop off a steam boiler.. thanks men
