If not, what is the difference. I know, they are more expensive, but is that all. I mean, they both have to perform the same function, right? Mad Dog

    why not. they both look for the same thing. continuity. fluid, water. probes should be able to handle the temps?. but if there ever was a claim for a failed boiler, and someone noticed hot water lwco on a steam boiler, they might ask why. john
