Hi Bill: Is it true that Honeywell isn't making the L404A Mercury Pressuretrol (not manual reset). I just had two supply hiouses tel me that....because of the mercury. That's scary to me I live by them...and if that's the case. the Vaporstats are next on the gallow's pole. Mad Dog

    L404's...

    I haven't heard anthing either way, I dropped an email to the market bosses, and hopefully they'll get me some info, which I will post here asap. Sorry I don't have an answer.

    Here's the story...

    The old L404 A,B,C,T,V& W and L604A series mercury-containing controls are now obsolete. They have been replaced by the new L404F,L4079B & W & L404T and V series, all are mercury-free. Not all Honeywell wholesalers will have every model, but there ARE replacements. If your distributor hasn't heard about this, have them get in touch with their Honeywell rep asap. I have a cross reference, just post your old control OS number, and I'll let you know what the replacement is.
