With the 260, you could only use an Indoor Sensor and NOT an RTU. This is recommended for a single zone system only.

You could use a digital RTU (062/063) connected to a 262 Boiler Control (2 stage, but only one can be used if desired).

With an Indoor Sensor or RTU, Indoor Temperature Feedback is provided. Outdoor Reset is when we adjust the water temperature based on Outdoor Condition alone. With Indoor Feedback, the water temperature is fine tuned based on Indoor Condition as well. With a Single Indoor Sensor or RTU on a single zone system, continuous circulation is attained, resulting in no expansion noises or temperature swings in the space and of course, maximum efficiency.

    I hope this helps.

    Well, it depends....

Really, it would be recommended for a single zone system only. Unless the zones with thermostats are sub zones only (IE Bedrooms and non typically occupied rooms like living rooms, kitchen aso.).

Keep in mind that the water temperature delivered to your system is always based on Outdoor Reset AND Indoor Feddback coming from the sensor. I am just a little concerned about zones running of thermostats with setback. If one of the zones operated with a thermostat besides having an Indoor Sensor used in the system, the zone with setback may not be able to recover (quickly or at all) if the Indoor Sensor is satisfied with its temperature and therefore the supply water temperature is lowered.

Call me at any time, should you like to discuss. 250-545-7749, Ext. 214.
