Quest polybutelane tubing

I ran into this tubing used for radiant floors at a customers home. I'm aware of the problems they had with fitting failures in potable water installations, but haven't seen it used for radiant heat.
Anyone know if it had an oxygen barrier, and how it held up over the years when used for hot water heat?
Thanks.

no ox barrier.
stradgey for long life used to be temp under 100 degrees F for heating systems....many are still around....some are still being connected,my suggestion is go stainless steel heat Xchanger, stainless or bronze pump, lowest water temp required, constant circulation, potable water expansion tank...and keep yo fingers crossed .*~/:)0 -
what color .....
is it? if it was gray it had no O2 barrier...although if it had red coating on it( and they did some) it was barrier PB. The stuff really got a bad name because of the plastic fittings and the aluminum crimp rings..... copper/brass fittings with copper rings were not a problem....I have a job out there with a flatplate and a bronze circ running fine....just keep al the stuff non ferrous on the non barrier side. kpc
