Crack in Steam Boiler

I am hoping to find information on why a steam boiler i installed has cracked twice in the past two years. It seems to happen when it has gotten very cold.

Last year, i thought i might have had a tilted water line when one of the radiators in the house cracked unbeknownst to me. This time, we have the same crack (new boiler)in the back section leading us to believe it could be a tilted water line.

The boiler is a 5-section WM and i am wondering if the problem could be that i have reduced from 2.5 to 2 inch supply leading up to a 3 inch header.

Anyone know of any reason this boiler could be cracking?
