Another baseboard heat question

We recently pruchased a house with hot water baseboard heat with three zones. So far, everything has been fine. However, today the main zone is only heating up to 62 degrees (set for 70). The two zones on the second floor are working fine. Could it be that there is a problem with the thermostat on the first zone? Or is the very cold weather (-1 at 9:00 this morning)just goving me problems?
Also, if my system gurgles, does that mean it needs water added? If so, is something I can do or should I call a pro?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Heather , if you hear water, you dont ...it is air you are

hearing. maybe you can let some air out with a screwdriver from some baseboart 'T's"these are little shiney bolt head s with a screw in the middle of them .usually id advise a small cresent wrench to keep the thing in place while losening the screw in the center of it....Be careful and only open the screw a couple of turns until the air starts leaking out, when water starts let it sputter a bit till a steady stream comes out then tighten it.then go to the nekt one and see if you hear any air and do the same. *~/:)
