Gurgling noise on mono-flo system??
DB

Have a mono-flo system with about 6 different radiators(3 sections being updated baseboard). When circulator kicks on the noise of the water rushing through the loops is more than I have heard other years. All radiators are bled out except 1( i believe its the 2nd to get hit) because it always gets too hot and that room doesn't really need it. Could that be the reason for all the noise? Expansion tank is good but air vent might be old and gunky??

What's the pressure at? Shut off the water supply and see if the pressure drops. Sounds like air, possibly from excessive make up water. Do you have an air eliminator installed? If not, try a Spirovent, they work great. Do make sure the boiler has a Low Water Cut Off installed before leaving it unattended for any lenght of time...Robert O'Connor/NJ0 -

noisy monoflo
Check out Dan's book Pumping Away. We have used this set-up for years and NEVER had to vent a mono-flo with cast iron baseboards. That made me a believer0
