ive piped in many boilers but never a staem one. A body asked me to replace his old steam boiler with a new one. Im looking for professional thoughts if i should even attempt to do so and more importantly how safe would attempting it be.

If you're licensed to do it, are willing to accept the responsibility, and have the ability, go for it. Just follow the piping directions that come with every steam boiler. Size it right, pipe it right, and it will work fine.

All,s right , most boiler companys include these piece's of papers that, if you stop kneeling on them, actually tell you how to do it.
The best thing is to buy Dan's book The Lost Art Of Steam Heating. It will tell you everthing you need to know and then some.
