Are there any risks with using Vinegar...
to lower the pH of the boiler water in a Peerless boiler. I have been told that adding too much could potentially eat seals or gaskets?
Would this be something specific to Peerless or have I been given false information?
Peerless, of course, doesn't recommend it. They refer me to a chemical treatment co. which at the present time I cannot afford.
Thanks in advance for your help.

9.95
Boiler's rated for 1.5 million btus output. Not sure how much water it holds, but I added one cup and it dropped to 9.54.
A month or so ago I added two cups, because the pH was over 11.0
