Dovre Fireplace Insert

I have a question regarding a Dovre wood burning fireplace insert. We recently purchased a house built in 1994. it has a very nice Dovre fireplace insert model 2100 or 2108 with no. 9622440 on the nameplate. There is no owners manual and we would like to know more about the operating instructions.
It has two levers extending through the upper front grille. I believe the upper lever controls the flue damper and the lower lever the outside air intake damper.
Any information regarding recommended operation of this unit would be appreciated.
