spirotrap dirt separator

Has any one installed the dirt separator offered by spirovent. It looks like a good product. Where would you install this on the supply or the return?

    I don't think it matters. On bigger diameters they sell a combination unit that is both a SpiroVent and a SpiroTrap. They probably should for the smaller sizes too, although they would then probably have to change the design a bit so that it has an expansion tank provision. Since the SpiroTrap costs almost as much as a SpiroVent, it would be far cheaper and simpler to install it that way. As well, it would only cost about 25% more.
