Hey Steamhead,

I have a couple more questions for you related to the FWL job.

We had talked about if the Gordon #2 main steam vents where plugged or not. What is the best way to check that?

Also, the boiler is now short cycling @ start-up after about 5 to 10 cycles of 90 seconds on 30 seconds off we get a nice long run time. What would cause this problem?

Remove the #2 vents

hold them upright and blow thru them. You'll know if they're plugged. They don't taste too good though.

It sounds as if air is trapped in the system somewhere, having a hard time getting rid of it but once it's out the boiler takes a normal run. Let me know if you can't straighten it out, and I'll come up and look over it with you.
