Wirsbo

We've been using wirsbo manifolds for a while now and recently A suppier told me about another kind which was far less money. But you could only use it with clamp rings and the clamp tool which we also own. I dont want to stop using wirsbo pipe but would like to use the new manifolds .Has anyone else tried to use this method ? We use the expander tool for the wirsbo now .Thought it might be a good alternative to the wirsbo manifolds.

    Warranty

I did some mixing and matching until I had a leak at a connection that caused some property damage. I was told that as long as the tubing and fitting had the same listings I was ok. That was until I had a problem. I was left holding the bag because the pipe guys said that the pipe was ok and the fitting guys said it wasn't, and the fitting guys said the fittings were ok and the pipe guys said they weren't. You get the picture. No warranty, no help. Now I stick to a matched system just to cover my behind.

That is the prevailing sentiment among many.

Quality + quality +oops wrong answer = a POS. I like Wirsbo and Rehau. i have no problem using rehau fittings on wirsbo or rehau pipe, with Rehau SS fittings or wirsbo expansion fittings. compression fittings i dont like very much. i belive the internal pipe bayonnet fittings with a crip ring remind me too much of Grey tubing......i would be careful of mixing things you are unfamiliar with...if a fitting is an assembly all of it has to be used ...
