They were found in a old house that is being gut rehabed in Cambridge MA. And yes thats mud on the first one. There are two of the round one. One of them has patent applied for cast in the top, the other has patent issued in 1910. The closeup of the last one reads ENTERPRISE.

HI Mad Dog: I am the PM/carpenter on the job. My boss (the owner and developer of this house) is probably gona keep them. She likes to collect old stuff like this. They will definetly NOT be thrown out, I would grab em before that happened.
