installed brand new hot water boiler - have split loop venturi system - adjusted pressure, bled convectors- have a problem getting several convectors hot - taco 007 circulator, house is small cape cod style, pressure is normal - can bleed convectors hot but get no circulation through those problem convectors- main going around basement is hot - Could it be bad venturi t's for those convectors? Too small a pump??
This is an existing system for 40 years - just changed out boiler 2 weeks ago - If anyone has run across this problem before - please respond by e-mail RE: venturi system
Thank you

is the pipe copper or steel?

did you try and flush the system, if the pipe is steel some rust may be clogging the tees passage ways

  • Mike, On a split loop system you should have isolation valves on each loop in order to purge the air out of the system. These are great systems and work very well when operating properly. Because it was operating fine before you changed out the boiler it should also operate after the change over. The problem is either with the new boiler piping or the inability to purge either side of the split loop. Describe the location of the radiators that are not heating . Dave

    what rads

Where are these rads that are not getting heat .I have done a few boilers in older caps with mono tees and found that the original boiler pumps where b&g seiries 100 or taco 110 pump and even then there where always complaints about not enough heat on the second floor rooms after checking it out i incresed my tee distance creating more of a pressure drop across the common pipe and flow was increased end of story .Is the pump mounted on the supply and if it's a split supply mono flow you should have balancers to set the loops flow correctly hope i helped peace clammy

Change out the circ pump 007 to small .
If you are getting no air out of convectors you dont have air problem.
I had simular problem with system with down feed convectors.
    I would install a taco 0010
