Burnham Minuteman II

I have a Burnham MinuteMan II (105,000 Input)that I have really never had any issues with except one but with one condition and i can't seem to figure it out. On a call for heat and when the boiler tank temperature is below the aquastat setting the White Rodgers Zone Valve opens and Boiler blower motor energizes and the boiler lights. No problem yet. Circulator runs but because the return water temerature is belowthe Aqustat Minimum I hear a relay open and the zone circulator stops operating until the water temerature reaches the minimum aquastat setting. The problems is when it reaches the minimum aquastat setting a the boiler turns off and then back on within 1 second but since it seems like a power interuption the flame goes out. (Like turning a light switch on and off real fast.)The Blower motor skips off for a second but restarts and the boiler relights. This does not happen when the boiler is above the minimum boiler setting on the aqustat and does not happen when making hot water.

I spoke with Burnham and the shipped me 4 new aqustats but all four do the same exact thing. I even tried new relays but the same exact thing happens. Any assistance would greatly be appreciated.

    Aquastat Problem

Check the wiring diagram, check for proper ground, check for loose connections... all these controls can't be bad!

Having conversed with you this morning and also having spoken with our Tech. Services agents about your situation, I will have to advise you to please have a qualified technician contact us from the jobsite so that our Tech. Services agent can work this out over the phone. There could possibly be other things causing this that changing controls and aquastats will not cure. Much time has already been spent over the phone to try and diagnose this situation but there are controls and devices on this boiler that we would strongly desire that a qualified service technician be troubleshooting on the other end of the phone. Hope this helps.
