I think you mean
"CO Experts", and we switched for a couple of reasons.
One: The NCI unit is a low level monitor utilizing an Electro-chemical sensor. (So does the CO Experts unit)
Two: The NCI unit alarms at a a lower level than the new CO Experts. (CO Experts alarms at 25ppm now. Still a good alarm)
Three: We want to support NCI.
Four: It was always tough getting CO Experts alarms.
In any case, these two are the only low level alarms available in the USA. I would trust either of them with the safety of my family.

Levels
CO Experts' model registers from 10ppm according to its web site. The NCI model registers from 15ppm according to its web site.
I'll agree with #4. I had to buy one on the American side of the border even though it is made here on the Canadian side of the border. Go figure...
I asked the CSA what their allowed levels are for CO detectors. They responded by telling me that I can purchase the regulation document (6.19) online. At $250, I think I'll pass...0 -
Okay, just great.
Okay, so I read all the posts about carbon monoxide, I read all the referenced literature, I hear all the testimonials about how the CO Expert model walks on water, I plunk down my $100, it arrives in the mail yesterday, (LITERALLY YESTERDAY! 2pm!) and now I'm reading I bought the wrong one??????????
Swell!
Nah, just kidding. From what y'all are saying, I did okay.
