According to the local forecast, today (Wednesday the 5th of January), it's going to be 70 degrees for the high and it's 52 degrees right now (6:30 AM).
Next week, Tuesday the 11th will have a high of 75 degrees! I'm gonna have to get the summer uniform back out. I may even have some AC calls.

Ha Ha ha ha! ...You sure are an optomistic S.O.B.
Remember, one thing the universe has plenty of ,is cold. it is all a Grand Illusion.0 -
LOL... So true, So true
The weather is great for a NY winter. The river is running at 1800 CFS. Way to high to fish.
The river will drop and so will the tempature. Which means the phone will ring off the hook.

Love the work

Like heck Jeff!
Three inches this morning in southeast Michigan and another seven coming right about now. Should be an adventurous ride home across town.0 -
What's all the white stuff?
Where's the sun? It looks cold and dreary there.
Here? The sun is shining, there's a few high clouds, and the temp is about 71 degrees.
It's a beautiful day!
Here's a picture from the deck on the back of my house.

Southern Man Better Keep your Head,
The days are seeing a bit more light but the temps aren't moving in that direction this way yet.Although we are having a "warmer than usual" winter....so far, Ma Nature has a nasty habit of tossing us a good covering of snow around the 1st of April. Kind of her own April fools day joke for us!Creul but true....
Hey Weezbo, you up to 7 minutes of DUSK yet? Chris0 -
oki *~/:) i just waded out to the vehicle through the snow banks
seems the plumber up stairs has a seVere condenste leak at the momment:)))Vehicle no likey me today.no wanna go:))well, .....i kinda think the force is real weak with me to Day )the natural born liars say it was 5" we got yesterday and we are slated for another 5->10" of snow today....it usually snows in Alaska BeFore winter ) so, way I seee it(last week it was about 40 below here), its going Round Two and We best get off the ropes:)) Man fluidly adapts to his environment here or Bites the big one.Satan Split. its too cold for him.:) thats the good thing about the cold..it WEEDS out the bad neighbours :)God Bless And May the Blessings Be.0 -
Chris,
I know we'll be hammered again. It's doubtful we'll have any snow (we usually don't), but it has happened.
This picture was taken the 26th of Febuary 2004. It's about a normal snowfall for our area, about all we get annually. Yes, they did close schools and the stores sold out of bread and milk. Beleive it.
Jeff
(On edit) Weezy, I just took that picture from out back.

Where's Woodstock?
Hey, Jeff
Don't gloat about these sweet 70* days - the iceman will get us!
What do they do with all those loaves of bread, gallons of milk & dozens of eggs? Make French toast? My plan when the ice storms hit is to stock up on Guinness (and cat food - wouldn't want the beast to consider human alternatives...).
Where is Woodstock? Atlanta area? I'm up the street & across the Chattooga in Greenville. Looking for somebody who knows steam. Then there's a guy in Asheville or Hendersonville, NC. Have you ever considered a southeastern victory tour? Nobody 'round these parts knows which end of a pipe steam enters.
Peace (& warmth to all)0 -
Woodstock
Georgia.
Northwest of Atlanta. The stores here never seem to sell out of eggs or beer, I've never figured that out.
Greenville SC isn't that far away. The family and I drove through there last year on the way to Asheville and Biltmore. Beautiful country.
BTW, they've changed the forecast for Wednesday the 12th. 76 degrees, up from 75 degrees. I know we'll get hammered with ice before the season's over, but I like to make our northern neighbor's jealous.

God Bless everyone.

It's been mild
here too. (Wash DC) I'm dying to test out my new sidewalk's snowmelt but it's been mid 60's the last week or so. S'not good for business. No emergency's to make people remember that they love me and want to shower me with money. It's early yet though. WW

went like maybe 34 above today and \"Rained\"!
so now we are in for it! *~/:) when the cold comes back its not going to be too kind ......frozen hard pack on layer 26 Black ice with a sound deadening blanket everywhere..... This heat is a bag of mixed blessings.0 -
John
We had almost a fott here tody from 5AM through about 1PM. Thankfully, no wind to push it around. It is just gorgeous out right now! Everything is white. The downside is that the snow is done and a big ole' Canadian High Pressure system is clearing out the clouds. The temp is dropping like a pregnant elephant off the Empire State building. I can hear the Vitola ramping up the water temp as we speak.0 -
Oki. indeed it took a nose dive the other day....
i just "play along " with the general populace and act suprised when it "happens"*~/:) it is a great idea to watch the silent majority in apatetic reaction:)0 -
OVER ???
I think not! - 39C at midnight with the wind -45
This AM @ 9:30 -35C no wind, bright sushine 1" fresh soft snow ---------POSITIVELY Balmy in centra Canada. But, not a day for strolling around on crutches!0
