Books that ROCK!

Fire Dragon,
I received your book two nights ago? Already finished!!!! One of the best burner books I've read. Also you gave me some good advice a few weeks ago on an old ARCO burner. It was a retrofit on a test loop in our plant. It worked out perfectly. It was our maint departments first one since one of our co-workers who did the burner work retired. Thanks for the help. I however hate to throw out the old ARCO burner and me and the other electrician have never tried retrofitting a primary control and cad eye ono a burner...so we've been bench running the thing. What is the easiest way to mount an eye onto one of these? DO they make a bulkhead style mounting piece?

I went to the Fire Dragon's Lair( web site) and ordered some holiday reading material for the guys and myself, talk about awesome gift, the guys were psyched. I have been burning through the combustion handbook, next I'm going to tackle the Riello Handbook.

    Thanks Tony,

the best bet is to get an oil line fitting like the one shown in the lit below as Fig. 5.

This works not only with the ole timers like that Arco, but with many new babies with vision problems :-)

BTW, glad it all worked out!

I would like to add to the list. Dans books..."pumping away" and "Primary secondary piping" and "the lost art of steam heating," along with the above mentioned, Money WELL spent. You will like them.
