so many
It could have been alot of thing's. I would run through a complete diagnostic of the unit and see if anything is getting weak. Could be a cad cell, a power spike, a dirty filter or a bad transformer. Alot of thing's to look at...Good luck0 -
I'd lay ta thought on the spill switch.

tattle tale
you may want to get some markers like the "tattle tales" for the normally closed safties that may self reset like the spill switch. Available in 24 or 120 volts. Seeing the little red " flag" confirms the culprit or at least one of them.0 -
I believe that the CGI is a gas fired induced draft boiler with a united technologies ign module? Check the module for proper grounding. These modules will rest themselves if power is interupted such as when customer turns boiler switch off then on, so it may be a good place to start if this call comes back in.0 -
cgi boilers
I can't find my manual on this one as I "speak", but it seems to me that I remember that a cgi will lockout and require a reset if: a flame is sensed when it should'nt be, if the polarity of the 120V coming in is reversed, or if the pressure switch doesn't make within 5 miutes of a call for heat. It resets automatically after a 1 hour "timeout", if you turn the boiler off at the 120V for about a minute, or if you recycle the t-stat. If it were the polarity, it seems that the problem would recurr all the time-I'd check anyway. Definately look hard at the pressure switch/flue setup.
Hope this helps.0
