noise behind H/W boiler

Ray Tomasso

We installed a oil fired hot water boiler six years ago and this week a strange sqealing noise developed in the rear of the boiler. It is a pump away system that does not maintain hot water. The noise occurs at about 130 degrees and goes away when hotter. We changed the the extrol tank and it sounded better only temporarily. When the boiler is shut off the temperature of the boiler rises dramatically with the burner and circulator off. Any suggestions? Thanks Ray and Happy New Year to all
