Munchkin 199

The company I work for is a supplier. One of the company tech's was sent today to hook up a 500 to a 199. The tank sit's just under 100 feet from the building. The piping is buried, 1/2 coated copper. It run's from the tank high pressure (10lbs) to the second stage regulator. The second stage run's in 1" black iron 30ft to the unit where it drop's down. Here's the confusing part, guages all say the first stage is feeding 10lbs. second stage say's it is running 11" to the unit. Unit say's 09 error. Which indicates no gas. Ok, now take and hook 2-120 gallon tank's, run a twin stage regulator, poof unit fire's great. HUH...ok...so disconnect the twin stage,hook on a first stage, hook it to the second stage on the building, unit run's fine. So one would think it must be the underground line right? The tech run's a new line 1/2" copper on top of the ground to check, take's the first stage regulator he just ran the unit with and hook's it to the 500. Unit WONT run? Tank is full, open the valve and vapor flow's nicely.....He's confused and I'm confused...Any thought's?????? Sorry It's so long winded, just got off a long hard 2 days...:)

Doesn't sound like a Munchkin problem if one fuel system is lighting up and the other isn't. Good luck!

I have a sneaky suspicion that it is the 500. Nothing else make's sense...:) we'll figure it out.. I haven't dealt with a munchkin in a while so sorta looking forward to seeing how it runs...

Is there a possibility the excess flow valve in this tank is causing this problem?

How 'bout the tank being overfilled and liquid is in the reg. not gas?

I haven't as of yet made it back to this system. I believe you are close but the tech is telling me it is only putting out vapor. I am thinking more along the line that it is not putting out enough voluum. Should hopefully be able to find out this week..:)

How cold is it outside? Maybe the LP gas cannot vaporize correctly with a full tank.
