i think it is going to depend on a variety of items...one is what model your refering to and what you intend for it to be doing....a great burner in the wrong appliance is a liability....it also is up to your pocket money...i dont do service work unless i have to anymore, so i put riellos in and feel i am providing a very good burner with the boilers...i am not interested in the becketts and carlins any more...however do i have some Just in case i get a call sure those and old wayne, blue angels:) and group of other blast furnace creations some i belive are older than i am >:) they have the advantage over a new burner in that there is one of these on hand at some odd hour of the day or night :)however once i am rid of the crd's and the like i am all out and they will be buying riello if they want me to do the work.i have old singer boiler parts all sorta stuff...i do my best to make the best out of what God gives me to work with..

    My frame of mind...

is this. If the home owner decides to never change oil companies and the current company services Riello, then that is the way to go. They make a great product. However, not all companies can service them and the parts aren't as readily available as the others. I still remember the older Riello's being obsoleted so that you couldn't get parts like pumps and motors. You can still get them for the old Becketts though.

A good burner is a good burner

what counts most is the installation and maintenance! You really can't go wrong with any of the major brands, as long as there is a reliable source for parts and service in your area.
