Temperature setting for my Ergomax?

It's been a few years since I've visited The Wall and as in the past it is still chock full of information. I have one question...I have an Ergomax indirect and I was just wondering what is (if there is one) the "best" temperature to keep the aquastat set at? Not being in the plumbing industry, I don't even know what is considered a "normal" setting! If you need any more information...ask and I'll give you the answers! Thanks and Happy Holidays to all!

    I keep mine

at a min of 140* since it is used add boiler content and my wife has a large clawfoot tub. The 2 boilers (Biasi) only hold about 4.5 gallons so all the return water from the rads gets mixed before going to the boilers. We have a mixing valve to lower the domestic water temp leaving the Ergomax. Makes hot water faster than we can use it in the shop and in the house.
I recommend you take the cover off the thermo well and check for leaks. Mine was not properly tightened at the factory and the picture tells the story. I don't recommend these Ergo's anymore after seeing the cancer in mine.

You want to keep the temp high enough to generate the hot water you need. Fortunately the design of the Ergo has the domestic water flowwing thru coils of copper pipe in a tank of boiler water so it tends to scour itself clean and not drop all the crap to the bottom like a standard design system.
